I thought I would let you know about a wonderful program called Shaklee Cares!  

 

 

Shaklee Cares is a publicly supported, nonprofit organization, founded in 1992 in the wake of Hurricane Andrew. This charitable organization is committed to helping people directly affected by natural disasters and emergencies, as well as grass-roots citizen groups working in the impacted areas.

Shaklee Cares contributions range from food products and cleaning supplies to cash contributions and volunteering time.

Since 1992, thousands of hours of Volunteer time and millions of dollars in cash and product donations have been given out to help Shaklee family members & their communities rebuild.

8.9 Earthquake Hits Japan's Eastern Coast

All of us in the Shaklee Family have been deeply saddened by the devastating magnitude 8.9 earthquake that hit the island of Japan's Eastern Coast today. Shaklee is responding with relief efforts to the region.
For those of you wanting to help, please consider making a donation to support these efforts, either with a cash donation to Shaklee Cares via Pay Pal, by mailing a check to Shaklee Cares or with the purchase of a Shaklee Cares Global Relief Pack. With your help, we can do even more.

• Shaklee members: Call #1-800-Shaklee, or go to the Shaklee Member Center to order online (listed under Packs), to purchase for donation a Shaklee Cares Relief Pack (see PDF for content details). The packs are donated directly to Shaklee Cares inventory and you will receive a tax donation letter each year you make your donation. All donations are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law. Please include a request when making donations in memoriam.

All of us are deeply saddened and concerned by what our friends and fellow Shaklee Family Members in Japan have faced since Friday’s earthquake and tsunami.  This was the strongest earthquake in modern Japanese history and as you can imagine with an event of this magnitude, we do not yet know the full impact and the toll that has been taken.  
We are encouraged that we have been able to reach all but one of our employees in Shaklee Japan, and that we have been able to reach almost half of our Sales Leaders.  So far, none have been harmed, but we will continue to try to contact each and every leader to ascertain their safety.   And we will continue to pray for their safety and well-being.
We know that you will join us in offering your prayers and support, and we know that you may also want to do more.  Through Shaklee Cares®, we have started a special fund:  The Shaklee Cares for Japan Earthquake Relief Fund.  Shaklee Cares will distribute donations to this special fund to help our Shaklee Family Members in Japan to rebuild their lives.
