Yay! My first post on fall decorating this year!!!
I am so ready for fall decorating, I just wanted to wait until my garage sale to start pulling everything out.
Ok. Ok…these pictures aren’t even from my house. I took these over the weekend at my parent’s house while we were celebrating my dad’s birthday.
But, I wanted to post them because they are an inspiration to me to get started on my own. (Which will be this weekend!)
I just want to show you some things that they did around the house.
They use all of their own pumpkins from their garden.
I think they used their own flowers too! I love that vase.
They even decorated over the toilet. Cute, huh?
These flowers are great fall color.
This is actually a candle holder. (Sorry, it was not lit.)
Again…real pumpkins.
My favorite thing was their kitchen tablescape.
If you don’t know this by now, I LOVE glass! So, of course, I love these cute holders with acorns and cinnamon sticks.
Do you want to know a secret about these acorns?
You know how these babies are kinda pricy to buy and they come from a tree? Well, I didn’t know that when they fall off, the heads and bodies drop off at different times. I still don’t really know what I am talking about but my mom said that they came off at different times of the year and they dried them out, saved them and then glued them back together. She had the kids do it for a project. So now you can save money and make your own real acorns!
I love the leaves too. Aww, that’s my old runner that I gave her.
Doesn’t that look great?
I also love the dried hydrangeas.
I had to get a close up, when….
I saw this little guy in there, lol. It looks like my brother did his own decorating!
Anyway, they also always do something outside too.
You can even just throw some magazines out on a coffee table.
They changed things up above the cabinets too.
You might also know how I love looong posts, so here are some pictures of the party if you are still reading.
Can you tell that we are Bear fans?
I am not in any of those pictures but we had a great time!
I am really excited to start my decorating around here. This is really late for me.
Have you started fall decorating yet?
Have a great day!
Bonnie :)
