Pantry Door Chalkboard Makeover

Last week, when I was at my mom’s house, we were all looking through magazines when I found this baby!

It is one of the Better Home and Garden’s Special Editions……I love those!!!!

Anyway, when I was looking through it, I saw…..

and…..

I instantly LOVED IT!!!   The chalkboard, that is!!!!  I stood up and made an announcement saying that I was going to do it that week!!!  I don’t know why I did that, but we are a loud family and we get goofy when we are together.  (Plus I think I was drinking a daiquiri, lol!)

I had already bought this paint at a garage sale for like $3.

So, I got right to work.  Here are the befores.

   

   First, I taped the door.  My little helper taped his door too!

Here it is after coat 2.

And after coat 3.

Here it is in use…..I LOVE IT!!!!!

I can use it for a billion things, but I like the idea of writing daily plans and dinner on it!!!

  

The bottom part is great for the kiddos!!!!
